40th Ave Bridge Closure 6/5 - 7/3

Road Closure Notice: The 40th Avenue NE bridge (between 12th St NE & 13th Way NE) will close traffic on 06/05/2023 at 6:00 am and reopen on 07/03/2023 by 5:00 pm.

The bridge closure will implement the final configuration for the storm drainage system, utilities, and roadway.

While the City intended to conduct this closure at a period that would have mitigated impacts on our residents, the availability of construction equipment during this busy construction market has limited our available time to facilitate this essential construction step. If nighttime construction is conducted, sound mitigating elements will be implemented on construction equipment where feasible; please remember that some elements are critical for the safe operation of equipment, construction activities, and general safety. Please see the image illustrating the bridge's layout following this closure for more information.

This closure will implement construction activities subject to change based on weather conditions.
